On this website, you will find great resources to help you end the stigma of disability.
All the content on this site has been either created or approved by disabled people. We bring the collective voice(s) of the disability community to educators and other professionals that affect the lives of disabled people so they better understand what their role is in being an ally of disabled people. All of our work is informed by the Social Model of Disability
Whether you’re here because you are participating in Pennsylvania’s Disability Inclusive Curriculum Pilot Grant, using their toolkit, are incorporating disability into the curriculum in your own way, or are simply curious and looking to learn — wherever you are — we have what you need, and are glad you are here.

Lesson Plans and Classroom Resources
We have created a comprehensive disability inclusive curriculum lesson plan library. Lessons and resources from other organizations that we and other disabled people have approved are also included. This is a free resource for teachers to explore disability in the classroom.
Our focus with education is to normalize the idea of disability with all students. If you are interested in teaching our lessons but need extra support, we are here for you! Disability Equality in Education (DEE) can provide training on teaching disability in the classroom. Just contact us to learn more.

Disability Calendar of Events
A calendar of events that recognizes various days (and months) is an easy way to bring the conversation about disability into your classrooms and schools. Including discussion of disabled people throughout the year sends a message to all that students with disabilities are recognized and valued as a part of the community.
On our disability calendar of events page, you will find information about how to incorporate disability content into events and lessons throughout the year using the calendar as a connection.
A collection of books, lessons, and general information addressing specific disability communities or intersections of disability that may be useful throughout the year or to enhance a lesson you are already working on is listed. If there’s an intersection you’d like to see we haven’t gotten to yet, please let us know.
