Session Three: Talking with Kids about Disability Workshop

January 28

For parents, teachers, and caregivers of young children aged 3-10 years old.

What messages do our children receive about what it means to be disabled? How should we handle children’s questions and staring in public? What can we do to be welcoming to our children’s neurodiverse peers? Let’s end the awkwardness!

This empowering workshop will give parents, educators, and caregivers respectful vocabulary and strategies to facilitate positive discussions about disability with their young children.

Each participant will receive access to a free resource bank of tips for talking with children about disability at home or school.
