ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

DisabilityEqualityEducation.org is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.  At Disability Equality Education and DisabilityEqualityEducation.org, we want everyone who visits our website to feel welcome. We are committed to accessibility.

This website strives to conform to the AA standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.  These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.  Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.  This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS.  The site should display correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.  However, the best browsers to use when viewing our website with assistive technology is Google Chrome and Safari.

Please note that our website may link to, or interface with, third party websites that we do not control. These third-party websites may not have undertaken the efforts that our organization has taken to comply with WCAG-2.1 AA standards. In order to maximize accessibility with our website users, we are encouraging third-party websites to voluntarily comply with these standards.  While we strive to work with accessible third-party websites, we cannot guarantee that all third-party controlled websites are accessible.

Although at Disability Equality Education, we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.  We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the website up to the same level of overall web accessibility.  In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the DisabilityEqualityEducation.org website, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  Our goal is to make your user experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible.
