Welcome to Pennsylvania’s
Disability Inclusive Curriculum Pilot Participating Schools*
(*All schools continue to have access to all of our resources and support offerings)
Greetings and congratulations to the esteemed schools that have made the commitment to infuse disability concepts into general education. You've been selected to be part of Pennsylvania's pioneering Disability Inclusive Curriculum Pilot Program, and we are excited to embark on this journey alongside you, as we reshape how disability is perceived and integrated into the classroom together.
We are proud to have led the effort to create this legislation, and look forward to enriching your experience as we provide support to schools and districts as they take the essential step of integrating disability into classroom discussions and lesson plans.
Professional Development
Our commitment to this revolutionary initiative begins with robust and tailored professional development. Aligned with the core principles of Disability Inclusive Curriculum, our training sessions and support models are led by disabled experts, in accordance with the program's legislative mandate. Professional development from Disability Equality in Education means training directly from the people who originated the concept for a Disability Inclusive Curriculum. Acknowledging the unique needs of each school and their Local Education Agency (LEA), we offer both individualized one-time workshops and comprehensive year-long mentorship programs to precisely address your requirements. For those who need to learn in smaller groups or individually, we offer access to recorded versions of our most popular training sessions, available for rent.
